Aim for the clearest available view of the sky. In summer, leafy trees and fast-growing plants can create new shade, so allow for seasonal growth as well as the garden’s current appearance.
2. Prioritise daylight over perfect symmetry
It is tempting to position every light at exactly the same distance from the path. However, a visually perfect row will not perform consistently if half the solar panels sit beneath shrubs or an overhanging roof.
